Every business is different, so not all productivity tools out there will work perfectly. You have to choose which one will work best by looking out for the key things such as the cost, ease of use, and ease of implementation. If you are a minimalist like me, I prefer tools that are simple, easy to use, and require a minimal learning curve so I can get on with my tasks right away.

If you feel like there are just not enough hours in the day for you to accomplish your tasks as a solopreneur, here are some of the tools that I use frequently that are really helpful to increase your productivity.

Google Drive

– best known as a collaborative file sharing and storage tool for small and large teams. It’s simple yet powerful. Google drive is a versatile cloud storage solution, and you can even take advantage of their Google suites which gives you everything from Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Forms.

Notion

– best for project management, and team collaboration. It is as minimal or as powerful as you need it to be. Notion helps users schedule tasks, manage files, save documents, set reminders, keep agendas, and organize their work. What I like the most about this productivity tool is that it offers a variety of ways to change the layout of the things you have noted down, giving you ease of viewing.

Google Calendar

– best for time-planning and scheduling, and it works on almost any device. With Google calendar, you can quickly schedule meetings and events and get reminders about upcoming activities. It’s so easy to use. One of the best benefits you can get with this tool is that you can share your schedule with others and create multiple calendars that you and your team can use together.

Slack

– best for team messaging. It supports voice, video calling, and screen sharing, and is free for teams of up to 10 people. Slack has been a key player and is used by so many organizations, either small or large for a long time now. Everyone in the team can come together in one place where you can share ideas, make decisions, and move work forward.

Gmail

– best email inbox tool for any business. Gmail is widely used all over the world by anyone as it has a super clean interface and is very easy to use. Some of the benefits you can get from Gmail are it has a Google-powered email search, instant messaging, and advanced spam filters.

Grammarly (Bonus)

– best for spelling and grammar checking. Basically the best for those who write anything. I personally use this tool since part of my job is content writing. Some of the benefits of Grammarly are real-time grammar correction and is very simple to use. If you paid for a premium, you get the full benefits like getting vocabulary enhancement suggestions and plagiarism detection.
